Church Description


Chipperfield Baptist Church is located in Chipperfield, Hertfordshire and is affiliated to the Baptist Union of Great Britain.


We strive to make Jesus known by proclaiming the Good News of Christ through worship, ministry and mission.



Mission Statement


As God’s people our desire is to know Him more and to be counted as faithful to His rule in our lives. In our worship we proclaim the truth of God’s salvation through Jesus Christ, free to all and without measure. We rely on the Holy Spirit to enable us in our ministry, to encourage, equip and in His leading of us, to serve our community with justice, mercy and humility (Micah 3:8).

Mission Activity


As the expression of our Gospel mission we are involved in –


Prayer - it being the vital life blood of the Church as we seek God’s guidance and equipping for his work. To see Christ made known.


Reaching out - to the community in service, support and as a witness to Christ– irrespective of social, gender or generational barriers.   


Focus on Good Ecumenical Relationships – In unity with other Christians in the village in their expression of God’s Kingdom and a shared heart for reaching the whole of the community for Jesus Christ.


Specific activities

All Age Services, Parent and Toddler Group, Emmaus Services, Saturday Evening Events, Fellowship Meals, Monthly Lunches, Annual Festivals and Special Events, work in association with other churches (Shared Services, Contact Club, Cool Runnings) and Schools work.
